Certain necklaces like the Herringbone Chains do require extra care due to their inherent rigid design and construction — making them prone to permanent deformation if bent beyond structural limits.

No, Alliciante's gold necklaces will not tarnish or fade as they are made with solid 14-karat gold. Unlike plated, filled, or vermeil jewelry that can lose its thin gold layer over time, our necklaces are made from solid 14k gold (with some chains available in hollow gold). This ensures that with a little love and care, they will maintain their color and shine permanently.

Although basic upkeep goes a long way in maintaining the necklace’s original shine and beauty, customers can send in their Alliciante jewelry for our in-house cleaning, polishing, and restoration services.

Alliciante exclusively uses 14k gold for all of its jewelry. 

We never use plated (thin gold layer over brass), vermeil (gold over silver), or filled (gold bonded to brass core). While these options may be less expensive than solid gold, they're often overpriced when taking their actual gold content into account, making them a poor investment. and may wear off over time. 

Plated, vermeil, and filled gold jewelry can also wear off over time, exposing base metals and potentially causing skin reactions. On the other hand, both our solid and hollow gold pieces are made entirely of 14k gold and offer the best combination of long-term value and durability.

Yes, Alliciante’s gold necklaces are only available in 14k karat gold, either with solid or hollow links. Both of these materials are naturally hypoallergenic — eliminating the likelihood of a bad reaction or skin allergy. 

This is unlike plated or vermeil jewelry which can cause reactions and allergies in many people due to there only being a very thin layer of gold (which can fade/tarnish and expose the skin to other materials).

Yes, we have a beautiful collection of both hollow and solid 14k gold necklaces and chains that allow for larger, bolder looks while maintaining a comfortable weight.

Our solid and hollow gold necklaces (and chains) are both made from the highest quality 14-karat gold.

The main difference between the two is that solid gold chains are made entirely of gold throughout, while hollow chains use open-shell structures that are meticulously cast from solid 14k gold. 

Hollow chains are a great example of jewelry craftsmanship that allows us to create large statement pieces that remain surprisingly lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day.

Yes, we do offer adjustable necklaces (as well as chains, anklets, and bracelets) that come with built-in extenders for adjustable lengths. Look for 'adjustable length' in the product details to find necklaces with this feature.

For chains and necklaces without built-in adjustability, we offer separate chain extenders as accessories that can be added to customize the fit.

Our 14k gold necklaces are available in a wide variety of sizes, starting from 16 inches and going up all the way to 24 inches. Many necklaces support 1 or 2” extenders for more adjustability and a better fit.
